Dissertation Defense at URI Explores Interactive Environments between School and Community for the Teaching of Portuguese Language
On February 3, 2026, a master’s dissertation was defended at the Universidade Regional Integrada do Alto Uruguai e das Missões (URI) within the scope of the UNESCO Chair “The City that Educates and Transforms” the Master’s Program in Education. The dissertation is entitled “The Constitution of Interactive Environments between School and Territory in Portuguese Language Learning in Elementary Education II.”
The dissertation investigates the establishment of interactive environments between the school and its surrounding territory and their implications for the teaching of Portuguese in Elementary Education II. Its main objective is to analyze how the reorganization of the school space and integration with the community, as an educational territory, can enhance innovative and contextualized pedagogical practices.
