WG5 Life, Sustainability and Environmental Transition

It is concerned with identifying, describing and disseminating sustainable initiatives and practices aimed at environmental transition in cities and their relevant environmental impacts. It prioritizes short-term educational practices aimed at reversing the worst-case scenarios of global warming and climate change predicted by the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) and contributing to Net Zero (Zero Net Emissions of Fossil Carbon) by 2050 (UN, 2015). Promoting educational strategies for a better quality of life in cities with economic, social, ecological and environmental justice. Sustainable experiences in public education for children and adolescents. Other ways of living and community - the contribution of native peoples and present action, reimagining futures.
