UNESCO Chair takes part in the 2nd Meeting of European Parliament Ambassador Schools
The UNESCO UniTwin Chair ‘The City that Educates and Transforms’, led by ISEC Lisboa, was represented at the II Meeting of European Parliament Ambassador Schools (EPAS) and European Clubs of the West and Tagus Valley.
Held on 7 September at the Europe Direct headquarters in Cadaval, the meeting promoted the sharing of ideas and debate on key issues for the future of Europe, such as entrepreneurship, democracy, disinformation, youth participation, skills, sustainability and inclusion, reinforcing the role of schools in shaping more informed and engaged citizens.

Professor Isabel Baltazar, a lecturer at ISEC Lisboa and coordinator of the UNESCO Chair, was part of the panel dedicated to democracy, European citizenship and the fight against disinformation, contributing to the debate on European values and the importance of civic participation.
The UNESCO Chair’s participation in this event reinforces ISEC Lisboa’s commitment to citizenship education and to promoting a more participatory, informed and aware society.
