The UNESCO Chair "The City that Educates and Transforms", hosted by ISEC Lisboa, participated in the 3rd International EduFuturo Congress 2026, held from 8 to 10 April in Cuenca, Ecuador. The Chair's contribution took place online, following an invitation extended to its Scientific Coordinator, Isabel Baltazar, to participate in the congress as an International Speaker.

During her presentation, Isabel Baltazar introduced the UNESCO UniTwin Network "The City that Educates and Transforms", highlighting the work developed by the Chair in promoting educating cities, global citizenship, human rights, and sustainability. The presentation demonstrated the potential of this international cooperation model to foster educational innovation and strengthen the links between education, communities, and territorial development.

Focused on the future of education, teacher identity, and the use of artificial intelligence to support educators, students, and the transformation of learning, the congress also provided an important platform for strengthening scientific exchange between higher education institutions in Europe and Latin America. The event encouraged the sharing of best practices, the development of new academic partnerships, and the internationalisation of the UNESCO UniTwin Network.
