UNESCO Chair Brings Discussion on Education and the Role of the City to the Creixomil Book Fair
The UNESCO Chair “The City that Educates and Transforms” participated in the 4th edition of the Creixomil Book Fair on May 16 in Guimarães, with a short-term activity (ACD) for teachers titled “Guimarães: The City that Educates and Transforms,” led by Professor Isabel Baltazar, coordinator of the Chair.
This session sought to highlight the importance of education as a driver of social and cultural transformation, emphasizing Guimarães’ role as a region that values lifelong learning.
The Creixomil Book Fair, now in its 4th edition, is an initiative that showcases authors, booksellers, publishers, secondhand book dealers, local associations, and cultural agents, bringing together 60 exhibitors and a wide range of offerings.
