Route of Values and European Citizenship: Promoting European Values Across the Algarve
Within the framework of the EPAS – European Parliament Ambassador Schools programme, Professor Isabel Baltazar, Coordinator of the UNESCO Chair “The City that Educates and Transforms” and National Coordinator of the EPAS programme in Portugal, participated as a keynote speaker in the “Route of Values and European Citizenship.”
The initiative’s main objective was the presentation of the “Dictionary of Values and European Citizenship” — a work that invites reflection on European values and identity, shaped by a rich heritage and diversity. Through an interdisciplinary approach, it seeks to bridge academic thought with the need to build active citizenship, in which rights are respected, protected, and promoted, thereby ensuring a future of peace, equity, and prosperity. It also aimed to encourage students to engage in critical reflection and debate on European values.
The route took place across the Algarve region, beginning in Tavira and concluding in Lagos.
