Environmental Forum Discusses the Role of Youth in Climate Change Resilience
The INA (National Institute of Administration) hosted, from March 11 to 13, the “UNESCO Chairs in Conversation” meetings, bringing together three UNESCO Chairs to promote dialogue and the exchange of experiences on innovation and capacity building in Public Administration. ISEC Lisboa participated through the UNESCO UniTwin Chair “The City that Educates and Transforms”, of which it is a founding member, with a contribution from Isabel Baltazar, lecturer at ISEC Lisboa and Coordinator of the International Network “The City that Educates and Transforms”.
Isabel Baltazar highlighted the role of cities as spaces for learning and for the promotion of active citizenship, as well as the importance of public services in fostering inclusion and upholding human rights. Also participating were the University of Coimbra, with the UNESCO Chair “Biodiversity and Conservation for Sustainable Development”, which emphasized the contribution of citizen science, and the School of Communication and Media Studies, with the UNESCO Chair “Communication, Media Literacy and Citizenship”, which addressed the challenges of public communication and media literacy in the digital age. The meetings enabled the exchange of perspectives and strengthened collaboration between institutions, contributing to a more participatory, informed, and sustainable Public Administration. The sessions will give rise to a series of podcast episodes to be made available soon on INAcasT.
