"The City that Educates and Transforms" Tertúlia Concludes the Creative Reflections Project
The "City that Educates and Transforms" Tertúlia, marking the end of the "Creative Reflections" challenge, took place on June 2nd and brought together students from ISEC Lisbon. The tertúlia's panel of speakers included the directors of the schools that form ISEC Lisbon: Engineer Paulo Gil Martins, Professor Dr. Manuela Maia, and Professor Dr. Rui Fonseca. With the city as its main theme, the session addressed the city's transformative role in ISEC Lisbon's three areas of training: Civil Protection, communication, and education.
Professors Isabel Baltazar, coordinator of the chair, and Ana Paula Oliveira, responsible for the "Creative Reflections" competition, were also present at the session.
Students from Liceu Camões, a partner school of the UNESCO Chair, were also in attendance and officially presented their project linked to the UNESCO Chair "The City that Educates and Transforms." This project is an interactive website about citizenship in various formats, including poetry, European cultural identity, and theatre. At the end of the session, awards were presented to the winning entries of the Creative Reflections competition. Professors Ana Paula Oliveira and Isabel Baltazar presented the awards to two groups of students who participated in the poster and photography categories.
Various students participated in the competition with projects in diverse formats, including posters, photographs, and banners, all aiming to inspire reflection on the city's role in education and social transformation.
