Results of the Research & Development project "LEADER Approach - Governance Models and their Impact on Territories" presented in Cinfães
The Digital Security and Integrity Congress took place at the Cinfães Municipal Auditorium on March 28, 2025. The event, organized by the Cinfães Town Council, brought together experts and academics to debate key issues related to digital security and territorial development. ISEC Lisboa, an institutional partner of the congress, was represented by professors Ana Oliveira, Madalena Corte-Real and Elizete Jardim, who with this participation reinforced the institution's commitment to research and development of solutions for the enhancement and sustainability of territories, strengthening the link between academia and local communities.
Professor Elizete Jardim took part as a speaker on the panel "The Future of Territorial Development", where she presented the results of her work as part of the Research & Development project "LEADER Approach - Governance Models and their Impact on Territories". This project, funded by Universitas/ISEC Lisboa, is aligned with the UNESCO Chair "The City that Educates and Transforms" and is part of Working Group 4 (WG4).
The panel was moderated by André Telheiro Santos, President of the Cinfães Business Association, and also included Fernando Seara, University Professor, Pedro Costa, Television Pundit, and Rui Vilar Gomes, Former PSD Member of Parliament, who contributed enriching speeches on innovative strategies for the development of the territory.
During their stay in Cinfães, the researchers also had the opportunity to explore the territory and talk to various local actors, with the aim of deepening their understanding of the impact of different entities on regional development.
