New Institutions Join UNESCO Chair - The City that Educates and Transforms
ISEC Lisboa is pleased to announce that new institutions have joined the UNESCO UniTwin Chair - The City that Educates and Transforms. The Federal University of Pará, the Federal University of Rondônia, the Federal University of Southern Bahia, the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, the University of Santiago (Cape Verde), and the University of Brasilia have now joined the 12 existing partner institutions, thus extending the international network of educating cities.
ISEC Lisboa, as a founding member of this network, promotes international cooperation around education and social transformation in cities. The new institutions will actively contribute to the Chair by holding events, research and training programs focused on the concept of educating cities, promoting the exchange of knowledge and the development of innovative solutions for local governance practices in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
With the addition of these new institutions, the Chair is further strengthened, creating a robust network of international cooperation aimed at transforming cities into more inclusive, sustainable and educational spaces. ISEC Lisboa reaffirms its commitment to building transformative solutions to the current challenges facing cities.
