First Master's dissertation in Portugal defended under the UNESCO Chair “The City that Educates and Transforms”

On September 24th, the first Master's Thesis entitled “The School that Educates and Transforms the Child” was defended at ISEC Lisboa by Ana Rita Prelhaz. The jury was made up of her advisor, Professor Isabel Baltazar, the examiner, Professor Ana Pereira Neto, and the president of the jury, Professor Rui Fonseca.

Navigating the issue of the curriculum, essential learning and education for the SDGs - Sustainable Development Goals, the student's research aimed to analyze how the SDGs are present in schools, how to work with them in the classroom and how to instill them in today's children?

Ana Rita ended her presentation by quoting Malala Yousafzai - “A book, a pen, a child and a teacher can change the world.” - emphasizing the role of the teacher during the learning process and the transmission of knowledge and values.
