Last June, the Faculty of Education (Faced), a founding member of the UNESCO Chair, promoted the Urban Educational Walks, mediated by experts Claudia Aristimunha and Celso Alegransi.

The initiative offered participants a unique opportunity to explore the city of Porto Alegre, while learning about its evolution and impact on higher education. During the walks, participants had the chance to discover the cultural and historical richness of the city, developing a critical eye on the environment.

Faced was highlighted by UNESCO for using an innovative approach. The walks demonstrate how education can be integrated into everyday life, helping to form citizens who are more aware of and involved in the community.
