Readings that Educate and Transform were the topic of debate at ISEC Lisboa

On 1 and 2 June, the 7th edition of the event Wings to Read - Meeting on Literature for Children took place, this year under the theme: Readings that Educate and Transform. This initiative - which is already part of the ISEC Lisboa tradition - was thus combined with the purpose of the UNITWIN Chair, The City that Educates and Transforms, approved by UNESCO and led by ISEC Lisboa. The sessions were held online and various national and foreign speakers presented communications and projects around the importance of reading for the education of children and youth. There was also space for workshops, conversations and oral narration by students of the Degree in Basic Education and Postgraduate Art of Telling Stories, from ISEC Lisboa.

The event was attended by dozens of people, confirming the interest and urgency of this matter, as literature for children enables us to build readers for a lifetime.

Anyone who didn't have the chance to watch the event live will have the opportunity to see the videos available on ISEC Lisboa's Youtube channel, HERE.
