International Seminar "Just Ecological Transition: Challenges and Perspectives through the Lens of Law(s)"
The International Seminar "Just Ecological Transition: Challenges and Perspectives through the Lens of Law(s)" will take place on 28 and 29 May 2026, in a hybrid format, at Mackenzie Presbyterian University, in São Paulo, Brazil, and online.
The seminar is organised by the Stricto Sensu Graduate Programme in Law of Mackenzie Presbyterian University (PPGDPE/UPM), in partnership with the UNESCO Chair "The City that Educates and Transforms", through the thematic axis "Ecological Transition and Environmental Sustainability", marking the first edition of this international initiative.
The event will bring together researchers, academics and national and international experts to discuss the challenges of a just ecological transition from a multidisciplinary perspective, integrating the legal, environmental, social, economic and cultural dimensions of sustainable development. The sessions will be structured around two thematic groups: GT1 – Bioeconomy and Agri-food Systems and GT2 – Energy Transition.
