Creative Gathering | The City that Educates and Transforms
On 12 May, the Hélder Pita Auditorium at ISEC Lisbon will host the Creative Gathering | The City that Educates and Transforms, an initiative dedicated to reflecting on education, sustainability, global citizenship and the transformative role of educating cities.
With sessions at 11.00 am and 6.00 pm, the initiative brings together first-year students from the Bachelor’s Degree in Basic Education and the CTeSP in Childcare who, as part of the practical classes on Pedagogical Innovation within the Geography module, will present posters they have created on the United Nations and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The posters will also be on display throughout the event.
The event will feature Dr Delfina Figueiredo, a representative of the United Nations University, whose talk will address topics related to global education, sustainability and active citizenship. Professor Daniel Teixeira, Coordinator of the Do Tamanho do Mundo Project, will also participate, enriching the discussion with insights into the transformative role of education in building more conscious and inclusive communities.
Organised under the auspices of ISEC Lisbon’s UNESCO Chair “The City that Educates and Transforms”, this discussion aims to stimulate dialogue, creativity and the active participation of the educational community in building more inclusive, sustainable and transformative cities.
