On May 6, 2025, the Events Center of the University of Passo Fundo (UPF) will host the 1st Environmental Seminar of the 3rd Environmental Battalion of the Military Brigade, an event dedicated to debate, reflection, and the strengthening of actions in defense of the environment.

Beginning at 1:30 p.m., the seminar will bring together authorities, environmental professionals, academics, and the general public for a diverse program that includes lectures, panel discussions, and opportunities for interaction. The official opening will take place at 2:00 p.m., with a formal ceremony and the composition of the panel of authorities.

Topics to be addressed include the work of the Environmental Command of the Military Brigade, the role of the Public Prosecutor’s Office in environmental protection, sustainability and regulation of the carbon market, environmental policing actions, and reflections on the climate crisis and public policies. The lectures will feature representatives from the Military Brigade, the Public Prosecutor’s Office, environmental professionals, and university faculty members.

The program will extend into the evening, with activities scheduled until 9:00 p.m., interspersed with coffee breaks that encourage the exchange of experiences and dialogue among participants.

The event is organized by the 3rd Environmental Battalion of the Military Brigade, in partnership with the University of Passo Fundo (UPF), and is supported by several institutions. Participation in the seminar reinforces a collective commitment to environmental preservation, sustainability, and responsible development.
